    Development of an Indoor Positioning Miniature UAV for Industrial Site Inspection
    Embedded Software Engineer
    Outline:
    Developed a miniature UAV system capable of centimetre-level indoor positioning in GPS-denied environments, integrating UWB and AprilTag visual positioning to enable autonomous inspection in industrial facilities;
    Responsibilities:
    Conducted hardware signal integrity verification and communication protocol development for a custom ESP32 controller based on the APM flight control system; developed machine vision positioning; implemented MAVLink communication and task management; wrote the ground-station Python inspection scheduling system;
    Achievement:
    The drone prototype was successfully realised and showcased in Fuzhou Innovation Park.

  • Fuzhou Shuofeng Technology Co., Ltd.(Jul 2023 - Aug 2023)
    Development of an Intelligent Mining Ventilation Door Remote Control System
    Embedded Software Engineer
    Outline:
    Addressed the challenge of remote ventilation door control in safety-critical mining environments by designing a remote control system integrating an ESP32 communication board and fast door motor, enabling door interlock, status monitoring, and fault alerting via cloud connectivity;
    Responsibilities:
    Designed and debugged the ESP32-based remote control board using Altium Designer; developed a customised MQTT communication protocol; built real-time monitoring and O&M software; completed integration testing and reliability validation in a mining environment;
    Achievement:
    Applied the designed product in industrial production.

  • Imperial Vision Technology Co., Ltd. / Power System and Equipment Industry Research Institute(Feb 2024 - Jun 2024)
    mmWave Radar-Based Non-Contact Human Activity Sensing in Substations
    Radar Algorithm Engineer (supervised by Prof. Jiang Hao, Fuzhou University)
    Outline:
    Developed a non-contact human sensing system based on mmWave radar for power substation safety monitoring, using the IWR1843 evaluation board to detect personnel posture in complex electromagnetic environments to prevent electrical accidents;
    Responsibilities:
    Developed radar signal processing algorithms and deep learning models; proposed a hybrid denoising pipeline combining SNR thresholding and DBSCAN clustering; optimised the Informer classification algorithm specifically for mmWave radar point clouds to achieve high-accuracy personnel activity detection in substation scenarios;
    Achievement:
    Authored a research paper accepted by IEEE Internet of Things Journal (JCR, Q1), 2026.

  • AuraSense: Privacy-Preserving mmWave-Based Human Sensing System(Aug 2025–Present)
    Delta–NTU Corporate Laboratory, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
    Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Khong Wai Hoong Andy, Nanyang Technological University
    Outline:
    Developing AuraSense, a privacy-preserving human sensing system based on mmWave radar for non-contact vital sign monitoring (heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure) and real-time activity recognition, targeting elderly care, hospital wards, and smart city emergency response;
    Responsibilities:
    Developing deep learning algorithms for multi-task radar signal processing, building an end-to-end inference pipeline from raw point cloud to activity classification; designing a real-time visualisation interface and clinical alerting module; leading system integration and hardware platform deployment and debugging, completing real-scene real-time demonstration;
    Achievement:
    Selected for NRF’s national-level GRIP Deep Tech Startup Programme; selected for NTU Chua Thian Poh Pinnacle Prize; deployed MVP pilot at Tan Tock Seng Hospital; related paper submitted to NeurIPS 2026.

  • Development of a Self-balancing Unicycle Robot Based on Visual Inspection(Jun 2023 - Jun 2025)
    National Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Programme
    Supervisor: Prof. Wang Wu, Fuzhou University
    Outline:
    Developed a unicycle robot capable of adapting to complex terrain and conducting visual inspections in industrial production environments based on Infineon TC264, using cascade PID control and state estimation for dynamic stable balance;
    Responsibilities:
    Utilised Altium Designer for PCB design and robot housing layout; conducted dynamic modelling of the dual-helical structure; developed machine vision localisation based on AprilTag to achieve visual-control integration;
    Achievement:
    Secured a national-level research grant (¥20,000); authored an international conference paper; registered a software copyright.

  • Intelligent Detection and Monitoring System for Underwater Fish(Jun 2023 - Jun 2024)
    Provincial Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Programme
    Supervisor: Prof. Chen Weiling, Fuzhou University
    Outline:
    Applied the YOLO object detection algorithm to underwater biology, enabling visualised analysis of detection data;
    Responsibilities:
    Established a client cloud platform and mini-programme app to support real-time querying and visualised analysis of detection results;
    Achievement: Secured a provincial-level research grant (¥10,000); completed the final project report.

  • Application of Microcontrollers to Digital Manufacturing Design such as 3D Printing(May 2023 - Jul 2023)
    Summer Research Programme, School of Engineering and Applied Science, Princeton University
    Supervisor: Prof. Michael Littman, Princeton University
    Outline:
    Investigated DC motor dynamics and PD controller-based control strategies for high-precision execution in 3D printing and digital manufacturing, building a thermal-electrical-mechanical integrated real-time feedback architecture;
    Responsibilities:
    Conducted circuit-level simulation of motor drive and sensing links using Falstad and Tinkercad; built discretised dynamic models of motors and actuators; implemented closed-loop control and hardware-in-the-loop simulation on Arduino;
    Achievement:
    Received a recommendation letter from the supervisor.
